The Try Guys is Changing

Main Post: The Try Guys is Changing

Top Comment: I'm kinda glad that they talked about the things they went through in their personal life. As much as I have critiques for them, they all dealt with a LOT this year and still managed to keep a company going, which is impressive tbh

The new try guys

Main Post:

Why aren’t the new try guys ever in any videos? Like Joyce and the other woman are barely in any videos, we know nothing about them. Miles has been in like two main channel videos since they announced him and there’s another guy (not Jared) that is rarely in videos! How are they try guys? How are we supposed to think of them as try guys if they’re not in videos and they’re not featured anymore frequently or substantially than the random guest they have on? They need to put them all in most of the videos for at least the first year so we can think of them as official cast members otherwise they’re just guest talent. This is stupid and not working if they don’t commit to this idea.

They should have at least 4 official try guys in every video imo. And they need to make it possible for us to get to know them and get attached. They did a good job of making Jared feel like a regular member and I think of him as officially a part of the channel, and thanks to the try pod and perfect person podcast, I feel like I know Miles. But I don’t give a Sh!t about any of the others. They’re really screwing this up imo

Top Comment: I kind of think that we’re going to start seeing them more once Eugene’s last videos are all officially out

I don't understand why people like second try

Main Post:

I honestly think that out of all the youtube to streaming pipelines, second try is by far the worst. Sure, watcher had the scandal of trying to put all their content behind a pay wall (though, I definitely believe that try guys would have done the same had they not witnessed watchers downfall), but at least watchers content is slightly better than regular youtube type stuff. Like watchers sets look nice and different, and their shows are quite well produced and high quality. Even a service like dropout is genuinely tv quality and very worth the same amount I paid for second try.

After my 1 single month on second try, I realized that the quality of their shows is not improving. The set of trolly problems looks like a child made it, eat the menu is still filmed with dollar store decor in a room in Ned's old house, and the videos where they go out and do stuff are not any more extravagant or we'll done than they always have been in my opinion. I only watched the first episode of the new try guys episodes, but even that was not streaming service quality in my opinion.

I consider myself a fan to some degree of the try guys, but with all due respect, this could have and SHOULD have been a patreon.

Edit: ya'll I never said you couldn't think different things please be nice to me.

Top Comment: The content they put out on Watcher is not enough that I’m interested in paying for it. The content they put out on 2nd Try is enough that I will pay for it. I don’t care if the sets or concepts are not television quality. I was never watching them for television quality. I watch television shows for television quality. The Try Guys didn’t promise television quality. They promised entertainment. I watch them because I am entertained. I do not watch Watcher first and foremost for production. I watch Watcher also to be entertained. Like Patreon. The only one I pay for puts out an episode every ten days but I value the content so I pay for it. I am entertained by it so I’m willing to spend money on it.
